Fund for the Replacement of Animals in Medical Experiments (FRAME)

Description

A scientific and testing charity founded in 1969 which aims to eliminate the need for live animal experiments and put an end to the suffering inflicted upon millions of laboratory animals. Researches, develops and promotes practical alternative techniques that can be used to replace live animals in biomedical research. It maintains an informed and balanced viewpoint from where it can advise politicians on the legislation controlling animal experiments, work with scientists in industry and academia to find effective ways of reducing the need for animal experiments, and provide authoritative information for scientists, journalists, students, schoolchildren and members of the public.
