Event Description

This highly interactive and practical seminar from Stephen Gurney of Ecological Building Systems, will demonstrate best practice detailing and application for many of the major critical airtight junctions in new build and refurbishment.

There will be a model wall and window application to show membrane and tape installations along with some handy guides and tips to aid designers and contractors to achieve excellent levels of airtightness.

About the speaker
Stephen Gurney has experience of working in the building industry since the 1980’s. He ran his own interior refurbishment business for many years. With a growing interest in the environment he initially moved into natural insulations, this role dealt with all sales and technical aspects of the product supplied. Stephen has worked for Ecological Building Systems since 2009, offering technical and sales support to the UK building industry on all aspects of applying the Pro Clima airtight system, Gutex wood fibre and Calsitherm insulations. He became the UK Technical Development Manager in June 2012.
