Event Description

A local food festival celebrating growers and producers in the West Gateshead area. There will be locally grown veg from Gibside Community Farm, local meat and a hog roast, locally produced pickles, lovely local bread, local pizzas and crepes local cider, local beer including a “Festival Special” rhubarb beer. Entertainment will be provided by the Tenth Avenue Band, Jamshed, the Elderly Brothers and others. Stalls include herb teas, children’s’ events, tombola and Transition stall. In addition there will be a foraging walk and a local history walk celebrating Blaydon Burn’s role in the industrial revolution.
