Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust

Description

Since 1982 the Trust has been the leading voluntary organisation for wildlife conservation in Montgomeryshire. Dedicated to conserving and enhancing wildlife habitats and protecting threatened species for the enjoyment of this and future generations by; caring for 20 nature reserves which include rare ancient woodlands, heather moorlands, upland and wetland habitats; providing advice to landowners, planning authorities and the general public; carrying out species conservation projects; and providing opportunities for people to enjoy nature and the environment.

Local Authority Recycling Advisory Committee (LARAC)

Description

LARAC was formed in 1985 to represent the emerging voice of local government recycling officers. Full Membership is open to any local authority within the UK. We represent local authority views in waste and recycling issues, and we are run by an Executive of 20 local authority waste management officers. We have members from authorities in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales including associates from the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.
