Description

JDC is the UK’s campaigning successor to Jubilee 2000 and Drop the Debt. The vision of the Jubilee Debt Campaign is a world in which the people of the poorest countries are liberated from the crushing burden of debt, and in which the future financial arrangements between rich and poor nations are founded on fairness, accountability and transparency.

Friends of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park

Description

The 'Friends' were formed in 1990. Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park is truly the historic green heart of Tower Hamlets. 33 acres of Broad leaf woodland in a disused 19th century cemetery, surrounded by tower blocks and estates, where 1000s of people live. The Cemetery Park has an outstanding variety of wild plants and animals as well as plants which give clues to its history. Royal Welsh Agricultural Society Ltd

Description

Aims to promote agriculture, horticulture, forestry and conservation in Wales. Organises the Royal Welsh Show every July. The Show is a shop window for Welsh agriculture with show classes for horses, cattle, pigs, handicrafts, honey, poultry, pets etc. Over 1000 tradestands feature (include agriculture, non-agriculture, commercial and craft). Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust

Description

Since 1982 the Trust has been the leading voluntary organisation for wildlife conservation in Montgomeryshire. Dedicated to conserving and enhancing wildlife habitats and protecting threatened species for the enjoyment of this and future generations by; caring for 20 nature reserves which include rare ancient woodlands, heather moorlands, upland and wetland habitats; providing advice to landowners, planning authorities and the general public; carrying out species conservation projects; and providing opportunities for people to enjoy nature and the environment.

Hawk & Owl Trust

Description

National charity dedicated to the conservation and appreciation of all birds of prey, including owls. Achieves its major aim of creating and enhancing wild habitats for birds of prey through projects which involve practical research, creative conservation and education. Projects are often conducted in close partnership with landowners and farmers and with other like-minded organisations. Publishes a newsletter and educational materials for all ages. It also runs an ‘Adopt a Box’ scheme.
