Directory Disclaimer
Please read the following carefully before browsing the Green Guide’s online directory or using the search facility. If you don’t accept this Directory Disclaimer and our Terms and Conditions you should stop using the directory immediately.
You use the Green Guide’s directory at your own risk. The Green Guide is published by The Green Guide Ltd (the “Publisher”). The Green Guide Ltd cannot be held responsible for any loss or inconvenience you may incur when using the information provided in the directory and individual listings.
The contents of the online directory are supplied to the user as information only, and do not imply any relationship between those listed and the Publisher, and nothing on this site shall be construed as creating such a relationship, including without limitation any advertising or citation of a supplier in conjunction or alongside any other supplier.
Please note that in compiling listings and in accepting third-party listing submissions, the Green Guide receives and acts upon information provided in good faith. We take care with our own research and always try to check the information provided is accurate and up-to-date. However, we cannot be held responsible for any inaccuracies, nor any loss or inconvenience that might arise from incorrect or out-of-date information. We advise you to make your own checks before acting on the information provided, especially when making a purchase.
Opening hours and costs
While every effort has been made to ensure that the listings are correct at the time of publication, details such as opening times and costs do change.
Businesses also move premises, cease trading or change name; and organisations, particularly voluntary and local ones, can suddenly stop operating. If you’re making a special trip to a shop, restaurant or office, do call or make contact beforehand. Check to see if your visit will be welcome, or possible. Smaller businesses, in particular, appreciate advance warning of intended visits. The Green Guide cannot be held responsible for any inconveniences caused by your failure to check if someone is at home or is willing and available to see you.
Reviews
If you want to contribute or have views on the goods and services mention in the directory and listings, please let us know. Your input is valuable. We have instigated a reader review system but please note that although moderated before being published, these reviews are provided by our readers and not by the Green Guide’s editorial team.
Mail order & online shopping
The Green Guide’s directory covers local resources as well as mail order suppliers and online shopping sites. We urge you to check order details with your chosen supplier when you make an order – some suppliers have set times for delivery which require the customer to be present. This is especially important when dealing with food items. Find out where you stand with returns and damaged goods and check to see if your supplier offers a money-back guarantee. The Green Guide Ltd is not repsonsible for any inconvenience or financial loss you might incur in the case of an online order being wrong or undelivered.
Being included
In our own research we have tried to be as comprehensive as possible but we know we’ve not got everyone! If you know a business or organisation that should be included, use the online listing submission form. Alternatively, tell the organisation about us and get them to sign up.
All standard listings are published free of charge – you don’t have to advertise to get a listing and you don’t even have to buy a copy of the Green Guide to be included. That said, we would appreciate it if everyone who is listed would purchase at least one copy of the print edition or take out an annual subscription.
