    Shiply

    Email:

Shiply is the UK eco-friendly transport marketplace where you can list any items you want to send, ship or move within the UK. You will then receive competitive bids from couriers and transport companies looking to fill their empty load space and pass the savings onto you. Not only does this bag you a fantastic deal, but you’re also helping the environment by keeping those lorries already on our heavily congested roads, full to capacity. Founded in 2008, Shiply.com matches people needing to move goods with transport companies going there anyway. Over 25 per cent of lorries run completely empty of cargo and over 50 per cent run only part-full. By enabling consumers and businesses to make use of this spare capacity, Shiply.com dramatically cuts down on CO2 emissions, increases the profitability of transport companies and saves the consumer up to 75 per cent.

We are driving forward awareness and action on climate change so that London is able to remain a great place to live, work, visit and do business. London is a world centre for finance, transport, politics and culture. The capital is a great city to do business and invest in because it has the vitality, skills, quality of life and infrastructure. However, many of the factors that attract and retain business and investment are vulnerable to our current and future climate. Mazzard Farm Holiday Cottages

    Email:

Seven miles from sleepy Sidmouth, at the foot of East Hill, are 17 acres of old apple farm. Among tipis, hens, farmhouse, gardens, play areas and a big communal courtyard with picnic tables are six cottages, which sleep between 2 and 10 (24 in total). Pure heaven for all the family. It’s pampering too, thanks to owner Jacqueline’s treatments: Indian head massages, Japanese facials and reflexology. Quarenden Cottage, the former apple store, is the largest in the row, beautifully cared for inside and out. You get sweeping oak floors and a huge leather sofa, fashionable florals and a wood-burning stove, atmospheric lighting and courtyard views. Bathrooms have fabulous fittings and delicious local soaps, the open-plan kitchen is a cook’s delight and the bedrooms fit under the eaves. The owners – keen greenies, foodies too – live in the farmhouse and Jacqueline makes marmalade, lemon curd, apple juice and fruit crumbles in season; there’s also meat from the farm next door. Choose from their great list of attractions: the Donkey Sanctuary, Crealy Adventure Park, the Jurassic Coast Hopper, or sign up to an onsite cookery or photography course.
